1. Overview
This policy explains the difference between closing an airline and closing your account, what happens to your data in each case, and how to request deletion of your personal information.
2. Closing an Airline vs. Closing Your Account
- Closing an airline archives that airline’s game data (routes, fleet, finances, history) within your account. Your account, subscription, and other airlines are unaffected. Archived airlines may be retained for game history and integrity.
- Closing your account ends your access to the Service, cancels active billing per the Refund & Cancellation Policy, and begins the data-handling process described below.
3. Archived Airline Handling
Archived airlines are excluded from active gameplay and world processing. Archived game data may be retained while your account remains active, and is handled per this policy after account closure.
4. Requesting Account Closure
To close your account, contact support at help@nccreativeco.com from the email address on your account, or use in-app account options where available.
Before closure, cancel any active subscription through the Stripe Customer Portal, or ask support for help canceling. Closure does not automatically generate a refund; refunds follow the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Requesting Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting help@nccreativeco.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request." We may verify your identity before processing.
Deletion requests are processed within 30 days of verification, subject to the retention limitations below.
6. What Data May Remain
Some records are retained after account closure or deletion where we have a legal or legitimate business need, including:
- Billing and payment records required for tax, accounting, and financial compliance.
- Support tickets and audit logs retained for security, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution.
- Records needed to enforce our Terms or comply with legal obligations.
- Aggregated or de-identified data that no longer identifies you.
Stripe retains its own transaction records under its policies.
7. Limitations
We may decline or defer deletion where retention is required for security, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, legal claims, or payment-processing obligations. Where we retain data under these exceptions, we retain only what is needed and protect it accordingly.
